So You're Thinking About Working Abroad

Are you considering a student elective, short term volunteering, or maybe a career in humanitarian response? Don't know where to start?

Join us on the 10th of March for our joint study day.

ADAPT, OT Frontiers and Communication Therapy International are pleased to collaborate in a one day event aimed at those interested in volunteering or working in low resourced countries.

This one day event is aimed at physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists. Both qualified or undergraduate delegates are welcome.

With a dynamic programme delivered by practitioners with a wealth of international experience we aim for delegates:

- To be better able to make informed decisions about whether to seek work in a low income context, and which type of project to join

- To develop critical thinking about how to make an effective contribution in a low-income context, and gain practical ideas for where to start

- To know where to find further information/support

- “Not to have answers but ask better questions”

Each delegate will be provided with a bound copy of the recently updated publication 'working in low resourced environments' - an essential resource to those considering this type of work.

A light lunch will be available, please let us know in advance if you have any dietary requirements.

QAC is a fully accessible facility, please let us know however if you have any accessibility requirements.
